Marietta Real Estate

Marietta is home to some truly magnificent, estate homes. These homes have every feature and amenity you could dream of and come in a range of styles including traditional, Mediterranean, European, and ranch styles. Located in subdivisions such as Atlanta Country Club Estates, River Park, and Greymont, or set on acreages not contained in subdivisions, Marietta estate homes are truly luxurious.

More affordable homes in Marietta include a variety of villas, townhouses, condos and single family homes. Some of these homes for sale are considered historical homes. The Oakton House, built in 1838, is the oldest residence in Marietta that has been continuously occupied.

Marietta Community

Marietta offers many dining options. Here you will find Australian bakeries, Greek Taverns, novelty ice cream stores, gourmet cafes, sushi bars, Irish pubs, and many more fine dining options. The weekly farmers' market takes place in downtown Marietta in the town square.

The town square is also the location of Theatre in the Square which produces shows year round. As well as several popular theatres, Marietta offers many museums and attractions including: the Marietta Museum of History, the Marietta Gone with the Wind Museum, the Kennesaw House, the Root House Museum, the Marietta-Cobb Museum of Art, and rides on the historic Marietta Trolley.

The Marietta City Schools operates all of the public schools in Marietta. Marietta City Schools is one of only a very few school systems in the country that is able to offer the full International Baccalaureate (K-12) continuum. Students can stay in Marietta for postsecondary schooling, as well. Southern Polytechnic State University is divided into five schools focusing on Architecture, Computing and Software Engineering, Engineering Technology, Arts and Sciences, and Engineering. Chattahoochee Technical College, just outside the city limits in Fair Oaks, offers certificates, diplomas, and degrees in applied technology. Life University offers undergraduate programs and a doctorate degree program in chiropractic.

Glover Park is in the center of the town square and is a great place for a picnic. Brumby Hall & Gardens is also a lovely place to take a stroll. With numerous art galleries, museums, parks and entertainment, and many excellent schooling options, Marietta is a wonderful to call home.
