Duluth students have a choice of six public elementary schools, one public middle school, one public high school, or three private schools.

Duluth residents enjoy a variety of sports, clubs, and recreational pursuits. Duluth is home to the Gwinnett Gladiators, a professional minor league ice hockey team, and many exceptional golf courses including: the Sugarloaf Country Club golf course, St. Ives Country Club, TPC at Sugarloaf, The Hooch Golf Club, and Peachtree Golf Center.

The Gwinnett Place Mall, a regional shopping center, attracts people from as far away as South Carolina. Additional popular attractions are the Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center, the Hudgens Center for the Arts, the Red Clay Theatre, the Fine Arts Center and Children’s Art Museum, and the Southeastern Railway Museum.

Duluth has many attractions that continue to amuse visitors and residents year after year. Lawrenceville Ghost Tours, presented by the Aurora Theatre, offers thrills and excitement. Mega Amusement Inc is a great place to visit for fun and laughter. Stone Mountain is known for its huge bas-relief on its north face and Lake Lanier is a great place to relax on a beach or go for a swim.
