Click here to search for properties in Kennesaw. Kennesaw Recognized for Best American Values, Kennesaw, Ga. (May 6, 2009) – Kennesaw, Georgia has been selected in the May 2009 issue of Newsmax magazine as one of the Top 25 Cities & Towns with the Best American Values.

Newsmax magazine asked Peter Greenberg, best-selling author and longtime travel editor of NBC’s Today Show, to compile a list of communities that best express American national values. Towns were evaluated in nine different categories, including hospitality, wholesomeness, family-friendliness, community activities and scenic beauty.

In choosing Kennesaw, Greenberg cites the city’s great school systems, air quality, green spaces, and easily accessible family-friendly amenities. He also highlights the city’s low crime rate attributable to the 1982 handgun ordinance, but credits the long term drop in crime to the police department’s active involvement with the community.

Mayor Mark Mathews agrees that Kennesaw’s police force, parks, and schools make the city uniquely American.
